Claims, Mailboxes & JB+

Claiming storage

Right-click a chest, barrel, furnace, shulker box, sign, and most other storage or interactive blocks (as well as item frames, glow item frames, paintings, and armor stands) while holding a name tag to claim it. This opens a management GUI where you can add other players so they can use it too, hoppers can’t move items in or out of a claim unless you explicitly allow it.

Managing claims one at a time not cutting it? /claim nearby <action> <radius> applies an action to every claim you own within that many blocks at once: unclaim (asks you to repeat the exact command within 15 seconds before it actually removes anything), redstone <on|off>, and user add <name>/user remove <name> for bulk member management. See Commands for the full syntax.

Shop integration

A player shop (/shop, see Quality of Life) is just a claimable chest underneath, so it can be claimed with a name tag like anything else. Right-clicking it normally still opens the shop itself, holding a name tag always opens the claim’s management GUI instead, even on a later visit, so you never lose the ability to manage who has access.

Mailboxes

Any claimed chest (or claimed entity, like an item frame) can be turned into a mailbox from its claim management GUI, toggle “Mailbox” on. Once it’s on, anyone who right-clicks it gets handed a book to write a letter in, right-click the book to open it, write your message, and sign it to send. You (and anyone you’ve added to the claim) can then open the mailbox to read and take out what’s inside, only take-out is allowed once it’s a mailbox, not put-in. You get a chat alert the moment new mail arrives if you’re online, or when you next join if you weren’t. One mailbox per player, and it has to be completely empty before you can toggle it back into a regular claim.

JB+ jukeboxes

Claim a jukebox the same way as any other block, then toggle “JB+” on in its claim management GUI. Once it’s on, right-clicking the jukebox opens a proper queue and storage screen instead of vanilla’s plain insert-a-disc slot:

  • Drag discs from storage up into the queue row to set the order they’ll actually play in, storage alone never plays anything on its own.
  • Play starts the queue from the top.
  • Skip stops the current disc and jumps straight to the next one.
  • Loop decides whether the queue restarts from the top once it finishes, or just stops.
  • Stop halts playback entirely, Play starts it fresh again.
  • Reset Queue moves every disc in the queue row back into storage in one click.

A jukebox left off JB+ works exactly like vanilla, insert a disc to play it, right-click again to eject it.
